The Ukrainian students from central and regional universities are visiting Latvia for the purpose of participating in the short- and long-term courses under the frame of the training programs as part of which benefits from the governmental support. In particular, such programs for the Ukrainian students are continued to be implemented in 2020/2021.
At present, the bilateral cooperation in scientific, technical and educational fields is advanced due to the intergovernmental Agreement on cooperation in the fields of education, science, youth and sports (concluded on September 29, 2017 in Riga). Besides, the bilateral research projects are set up by both sides in line with the undertakings within the Ukrainian – Latvian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Industrial, Scientific and Technical Cooperation.
