On 13 July 2013, with the support from the Embassy of Ukraine in Latvia and the Diplomatic Economic Club an event “Ukrainian night” was held.

The event started with a friendly tournament of beach volleyball where teams were able to demonstrate some high-class set of skills. Team of referees and commentators were from the Embassy of Kazakhstan.

Ambassador of Ukraine to Latvia Mr. Anatoliy Oliynyk greeted the participants of the tournament and the guests of the evening and wished everyone success, amity, understanding and mutually beneficial international cooperation.

Afterwards guests were introduced a presentational movie regarding modern Ukraine. Degustation of Ukrainian cuisine was accompanied with stories about traditions and potential opportunities in regions of Ukraine.

On behalf of the Club Ambassador of Ukraine Mr. Anatoliy Oliynyk received a book about Latvian history and modern development, in memory of the evening.
