The Embassy honors memory of victims of Holodomor 1932-1933

With organizational support from the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Latvia and cooperation with an Ukrainian community of Latvia, the commemorative events on honoring memory of the victims of Holodomor 1932-1933 were held.
The sorrowful procession to the Monumet of Freedom – the main square of the country was organized. Participants of the procession and pupils of the Riga Ukrainian Secondary School placed candles in the form of cross with an inscription “Famine - 80” at the square near the Monument.
The Ambassador of Ukraine in the Republic of Latvia Anatoliy Oliynyk and representatives of the Ukrainian community addressed to the participants of the ceremony.
The participants honored memory of Holodomor victims with a minute of silence.
After that, the honorable flower-laying ceremony was held.
The national flag of Ukraine near the Embassy was at half-mast.
