On February 11, 2011 Chargé d’Affairs of Ukraine to Latvia Mr. Oleksandr Kushnir held a meeting with Minister for Transport of the Republic of Latvia Mr. Uldis Augulis.

During the meeting the parties discussed the issues of bilateral cooperation in the sphere of transport and transit. They also praised mutual interest in raising the traffic flows between Ukraine and Latvia, for instance in container freights through the existing transport infrastructure.

Oleksandr Kushnir briefed the Latvian Side on the preparation of Ukraine to holding the European Football Championship Euro-2012, for instance on constructing and reconstruction of airports, roads, hotels.
