Ukraine Ambassador to Latvia and Latvia MP, Head of Interparliamentary friendship group discuss interregional cooperation and humanitarian projects

Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Latvia Yevgen Perebyinis met with a Member of Parliament, Head of the Latvian – Ukrainian interparliamentary friendship group and Secretary of the Public Administration and Local Government Committee of the Saeima of Latvia Ainars Mezulis.
The parties discussed interregional cooperation and humanitarian projects to be realized in the near months, as well as the preparations for rehabilitation and vacation in Latvia of Ukrainian children from the families, forced to leave their homes in the East of Ukraine, and orphans from the families of Ukrainian servicemen from different regions of Ukraine.
In this context Messrs Perebyinis and Mezulis stressed on the importance of the initiative of the Latvian Rotary Club to hold a charity concert “Children of War” on July 6 in Jurmala’s Dzintari concert hall under the patronage of Latvia Saeima Speaker Inara Murniece.
