Visa liberalization discussed at meeting between Ukraine Ambassador and Chief of State Border Guard of Latvia

On March 31 Ambassador of Ukraine to Latvia Yevgen Perebyinis met with General Normunds Garbars, Chief of the State Border Guard of the Republic of Latvia.
During the meeting the Ambassador briefed Gen Garbars about results of comprehensive implementation of the Ukraine – EU Visa Liberalization Action Plan.
The Chief of the State Border Guard expressed his support of introduction of the visa-free regime between Ukraine and the EU, underscoring Latvia’s stance of Ukrainians non-posing migration threats.
The parties also discussed modern migration challenges, which Europe currently faces, and facilitation of cooperation between Ukraine and Latvia border guard services.
