On August 25, 2010, within the framework of celebration of the 19th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence, a solemn opening o the exhibition of works of Ukrainian artist O. Milovzorov took place in Jurmala city museum.

Greeting the guests of the event, Charge d’Affairs of Ukraine in Latvia O.Kushnir stressed the importance of such actions for the development of Ukraine-Latvia cultural dialogue. Due to the different styles, presented at the exhibition, the visitors would be able to get acquainted with many aspects of contemporary Ukrainian art, for instance, painting.

Representatives of official, cultural and business circles, as well as of Latvia intelligentsia took part in the opening of the exhibition. The event was widely covered by local mass-media.
