Mr Šadurskis stressed that the Latvian government was paying significance to proper functioning of national minority schools,  and the Ukrainian school in particular. He reassured the Ambassador of the support for the Ukrainian school in Riga on the part of the government. The parties talked about concrete ways to provide practical and legislative support to the school.

During the meeting the parties also exchanged views on a draft agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Latvia on cooperation in education and science.
