Member of parliament Volodymyr Ariev takes part in the Baltic Assembly Conference in Riga and meets with Latvian officials

On 9 June 2017 a member of Parliament of Ukraine, Chair of the Subcommittee on Interparliamentary Relations, Bilateral and Multilateral Relations Volodymyr Ariev met with Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia Zanda Kalniņa-Lukaševica and Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Saeima Ojārs Ēriks Kalniņš.
The parties to the meeting exchanged views on ways to strengthen regional security, including within the current international formats.
The Parliamentary Secretary congratulated Ukraine on the start of the visa-free regime on 11 June, having remarked the progress of reforms.
The meeting was held on the margins of the Conference of the Baltic Assembly with participation of the Benelux Parliament, GUAM Parliamentary Assembly, Nordic Council and Visegrad Countries “Together in Strengthening Our Cooperation”.
Mr Volodymyr Ariev also visited the Riga Ukrainian Secondary School, where he met with its Principal Lidija Kravčenko and attended the graduation of nine-year-study students.
