Tukums is keen to develop mutually beneficial cooperation with Ukraine

In the framework of promoting the development of interregional contacts, on November 14, 2018, Charge d'Affaires of Ukraine in Latvia Alisa Podolyak and diplomats of the Embassy of Ukraine visited Tukums and met with Chairman of the Tukums Municipality Ēriks Lukmans and other authorities.
The meeting dealt with ways to expand cooperation, in particularly in investment and humanitarian domains between the local authorities of Ukraine and Latvia (Tukums is a sister-city with Izium of the Kharkiv region).
The representatives of the Embassy of Ukraine were able to visit a number of infrastructure objects of the social sphere, built in the city using modern technologies, as well as different enterprises that contribute significantly to the development of the industrial potential of the Tukums region.
Based on the results of the regional trip the sides reached agreements on a further cooperation in addressing some bilateral projects in various fields of collaboration.
