On February 4, 2020, at the initiative of the Embassy Ambassador of Ukraine Oleksandr Mischenko met with the newly appointed Director of the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) Kaspars Rozkalns.

The Ambassador of Ukraine congratulated Kaspars Rozkalns on his recent appointment as Director of the Agency.

In order to enhance cooperation at the level of business circles of Ukraine and Latvia, it was discussed the issue of resuming the activity of the LIAA Office in Ukraine this spring.

The sides outlined perspectives of Ukraine-Latvia cooperation in the field of innovation, service sector and other areas of mutual interest with the support of LIAA.

The sides exchanged views on the LIAA’s involvement in the organization of the bilateral business forum at the framework of the Eighth Session of the Intergovernmental Ukraine-Latvia Commission on Economic, Industrial and Scientific and Technical Cooperation, to be held in Kyiv in May 2020.
