The Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Latvia has the honor and pleasure to announce that, in accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 617/2025, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia, H.E. Baiba Braže has been awarded the Order of Merit II degree for a significant personal contribution into the strengthening of interstate cooperation, supporting the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, charitable activities, and promoting Ukraine in the world. 

The award acknowledges Miniter Baiba Braže’s efforts to promote a comprehensive support of Ukraine by Latvia in the face of Russia's illegal, unprovoked, full-scale armed invasion, her tireless advocacy for Ukraine's European and Euro-Atlantic integration, as well as her dedication to strengthening the development of bilateral relations between our nations.
