During the visit Ambassador held a meeting with Head of Daugavpils Сity Council Mrs. Žanna Kulakova. The perspectives of increasing cultural, economic and business interregional cooperation, were discussed. Mr. Oliynyk visited the Daugavpils Locomotive Repair Plant.

The Ambassador also took part in the celebration of the 10th anniversary of Ukrainian Cultural and Educational Society "Mriya". In his speech to the participants A.Oliynyk focused on the achievements of Ukraine in recent years, linking them to the European integration. A large scaled and comprehensive reforms, based on democratic values and social justice, are aimed at the European integration processes. Only unity and spiritual strength that unite Ukrainians are able to establish the European choice of our people, concluded the Ambassador.
