Ukraine was deeply shocked to learnthe news about the insolent murder of Russian politician and public figure, one of the leaders of Russia's opposition movement and a great friend of Ukraine, Boris Nemtsov in Moscow.

For many years, Boris Nemtsov actively fought for Russia's development in a democratic direction, was a tireless defender of human rights and freedoms. This murder is an unsuccessful attempt to intimidate all those who oppose tyranny and strive for a democratic, legal and civilized Russian Federation.

We express our sincere condolences to Boris Nemtsov's  family and friends, as well as the people of Russia. We urge the Russian authorities to conduct effective, prompt, transparent and impartial investigation into this flagrant crime. Perpetrators, instigators, and masterminds shall suffer inevitable punishment.
