On May 30, 2010 the Forth artistic festival of the Ukrainian community in Latvia «Red Guelder-rose» took place. This year the event was organized in the city of Liepaja.

When opening the festival, Ambassador of Ukraine to Latvia Mr. Raul Chilachava stressed the importance of this colorful celebration to the Ukrainian community, as well as its contribution to the development of Ukraine-Latvia cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

During the festival the address by the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mr. Ruslan Demchenko was voiced.

The final accord of the festival was the gala concert on the summer stage of the city, attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps, regional government and Liepaja citizens. The audience had the opportunity to enjoy Ukrainian songs and dances, performed by the artistic groups of Ukrainian communities of Latvian cities of Riga, Daugavpils, Ventspils, Vangazhi, Jekabils, Jelgava, Liepaja, Rezekne and from Estonia.
