In particular, the sides exchanged opinions on further development of bilateral political dialogue, as well as its parliamentary dimension. Oksana Syroid thanked the Latvian side for the support of European integration path of Ukraine, having highly assessed Latvia’s efforts to consolidate the EU position in counteraction of Russian aggression against Ukraine and defense of its territorial integrity and sovereignty.

The parties agreed that outcomes of the Riga Eastern Partnership Summit pave the way for pragmatic, deep and differentiated development of EU cooperation with those EaP countries, who aim at more ambitious integration.

The Latvian side aired their support for ongoing reforms in Ukraine, including those in the economic and law-enforcement spheres, as well as in anticorruption policies.

The VR delegation was in Riga upon the invitation of Latvia Saeima Speaker Inara Murniece to attend the charity concert “Children of War”.
