Ambassador of Ukraine Yevgen Perebyinis kicked off the international exhibition «Baltic Fashion & Textile 2016» on March 7 in Riga.
The Ambassador toured the Ukrainian stand and talked to Ukrainian entrepreneurs. This year as many as 20 Ukrainian companies represented Ukrainian textile industry: from accessories to clothes and fur garments.
On the occasion of Ukraine’s vast participation and in cooperation with the Latvian international exhibition company BT1 the Embassy of Ukraine staged the «Щирі» (“Sincere”) photo exhibition of Ukrainian national costumes. The exhibition caused huge interest among the exhibition participants and visitors. Famous Ukrainians were photographed in national costumes among them: Mariya Yefrosinina, Olha Freimut, Liliya Rebryk, Vasilisa Frolova, Yanina Sokolova, singers, Nata Zhyzhchenko («Onuka»), Alyona Vinnytska, Kasha Saltsova («Krykhitka»), Yuliya Sanina («The Hardkiss»), Santa Dimopulos, Nataliya Dzenkiv (Lama), Studio Kvartal 95 actress Olena Kravets, designer and director Olha Navrotska, Ukrainian Fashion Week organization committee chief Iryna Danylevska and choreograph Olena Shoptenko. The photo exhibition was granted to the Embassy by the “Domosphera” shopping mall. The exhibition is a part of the mall’s scaled cultural initiative aimed at reviving the interest to the Ukrainian classical culture.
The 21st international exhibition Baltic Fashion & Textile 2016 was held in Riga on April 7-9, 2016.
