On 13 July 2012, Ambassador of Ukraine to Latvia Mr. Anatoliy Oliynyk met with newly appointed Foreign Affairs Adviser to the President of the Republic of Latvia Mr. Margers Krams.

During the meeting the parties discussed topical issues of Ukraine-Latvia cooperation. The importance of implementation of the agreements reached during the visits of high Ukrainian officials to Latvia, in particular in trade and economic area, was stressed.

Particular attention was devoted to Ukraine’s European integration perspectives. The Ambassador of Ukraine briefed Mr. Margers Krams on our State’s progress in the implementation of systemic reforms. For his part, Foreign Affairs Adviser Krams reiterated his consistent support of the European integration aspirations of Ukraine.

Mr. Margers Krams had been appointed to the post of Foreign Affairs Adviser to the President of the Republic of Latvia on 25 June 2012.
