The parties discussed the expanding of economic and humanitarian contacts between business and scientific and educational institutions of the two countries, as well as within the Ventspils Special Economic Zone, High Technology Park and Ventspils Freeport.

While in Ventspils, the representatives of the Embassy visited a number of high-tech enterprises, whose products are in wide demand both in Latvia and abroad. In particular, the diplomats visited the Ukrainian enterprises "Ventspils Welding Plant" and the innovative packaging plant «IMMER Digital» («Ukrplastic-IMMER Group»), who implement innovative technologies and fulfil high social responsibility standards. As another good example of successful activities, the delegation toured the production facilities of the "Bucher Municipal" (production of cars for cleaning the streets).
