The meeting dealt with ways to step up parliamentary cooperation in the light of the elections in Ukraine and Latvia and exchange of opinions on forms and methods to counteract aggressive policy of Russia towards its neighbors, in particular in the education sphere.

The member of the Latvian parliament commented on the Friendship Group in the Saeima as the largest one (44 MPs out of 100). Mr Adamovičs emphasized on the readiness of the the Latvian party tp continue active cooperation with the Ukrainian parliament. In this context one of the priority direction is promotion of cooperation among regions and twin-cities.

The sides also discussed plans of different municipalities on organization of recreation of children from Ukraine, in particular from those families and regions, which suffered from the Russian aggression.
