On May 9, 2011, within the framework of celebrations of the 66th anniversary of the Victory in the Second World War, Chargé d’Affairs of Ukraine in Latvia O.Kushnir took part in the flower-laying ceremony to the monuments to fallen soldiers.

Veterans, heads of the diplomatic corps, representatives of the Embassies of Ukraine, Russian Federation, Belarus, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, members of Ukrainian community, people from Riga and other cities of Latvia laid flowers to the graves of soldiers, who had sacrificed their lives to fight Nazism.
