The staff of the Embassy commemorated the victims of Holodomor in Ukraine with the minute of silence and lighted the candles.

On 24 November 2012, with organizational support from the Embassy, in Ukrainian Literature Department of the Academic Library of Latvian University mourning meeting of representatives of the Ukrainian community from different cities of Latvia and an exhibition of scientific and belles-letters and documents about the tragic events of 1932-1933 in Ukraine were held. At the meeting an address of the Ambassador on the 80th anniversary of the Holodomor was read out.
